Railers EHLP – Weekly Roundup October 19-25, 2021
It was a quiet week for the Worcester Railers Hockey Club EHL Premier team, but they made the most of the one game they did play.
In their lone game of the week this past Saturday, the Railers shutout the Boston Jr. Rangers at the Breakaway Ice Center in impressive fashion, 4-0, beating them for the second time this season.
The Railers improved their record to 7-1 on the season and continue to show why they are one of the best clubs in the league in the early going. (Ranked #1 in the Week 5 NexLevel Power Rankings)

Matt Pacheco
Worcester started off strong getting a short-handed goal from Matt Pacheco (Belchertown, MA) five minutes into the game.
The Railers extended their lead in the second period on goal by Nick Solari (Kingston, MA) with assists to Ted Justicz (Harvard, MA) and Connor McAleer (East Lansing, MI) and another one later in the second from Dryden Hawn (Mars, PA) to make it 3-0.

Xavier Lapierre
Jayden Blackburn (Palmer, MA) added the fourth Railers goal early in the third after great passes from Matt Lombardi (Hudson, MA) and Max Beaulac (Fitchburg, MA) to give the Railers a 4-0 advantage.
The duo of Xavier Lapierre (Cap-Santé, QUE) and Cam Wickens (Revere, MA) combined for the 21 save shutout in net. Lapierre had nine saves while Wickens had 12 in the victory.
Next up the Railers will take on the Valley Jr. Warriors Friday October 29 at the Paul T. Gilmartin Memorial Arena (11:30 am start) and host the Philadelphia Little Flyers Sunday October 31 (12 noon start).
