Railers EHLP – Weekly Roundup October 26-November 1, 2021
It was another strong week for the Worcester Railers Hockey Club EHL Premier team as they shutout both opponents they faced in impressive fashion to improve to 9-1 on the season.
The Railers first faced the Valley Jr. Warriors on Friday and won 5-0 and ended their week with a 6-0 win over the Philadelphia Little Flyers, avenging their only loss of the season in convincing fashion..

Cam Wickens
Worcester goalies continue to dominate as the duo of Cam Wickens (Revere, MA) and Xavier Lapierre (Cap Santé, QUE) combined for the two shutouts. Lapierre’s phenomenal October was topped off by recently being announced the EHLP Goaltender of the Month.
In their first game of the weekend, the Railers had their offense working on all cylinders as they had five different goal scorers and totaled 48 shots on Valley Jr. Warriors goalie Michael DelTrecco.

Collin Berube
Collin Berube (Groton, MA) got the scoring started for the Railers in the first period putting them up 1-0 early.
In the second period the Railers extended their lead to 2-0 on a goal from Christopher Lawson (Southern Pines, NC).
The Railers took their 2-0 lead into the third period and scored three more times to blow the game open.
Dryden Hawn (Mars, PA) scored 1:39 into the third to make it 3-0 and later John Belisle (Cumberland, RI) and Charles Lavoie (Dolbeau-Mistassini, QUE) added goals to give the Railers the 5-0 win.
The Railers were looking to get revenge on the Little Flyers after the Flyers beat them 2-1 earlier this season and they did just that.
Worcester put up 53 shots on net and scored six more goals to keep the offense rolling.
In a two-minute span midway through the first period, the Railers scored three goals to quickly put the Little Flyers in a hole.

Jayden Blackburn
Lawson got the scoring started and then Jayden Blackburn (Palmer, MA) and Connor McAleer (East Lansing, MI) both added goals to make it 3-0.
After a scoreless second period, the Railers piled on the goals again in the third, extending their lead to 6-0. Hawn scored the fourth goal for Worcester and then Lavoie followed up with a goal and Blackburn sealed the deal with his second of the game to give the Railers the 6-0 win.
Next up, the Railers will play in a Showcase hosted by the Valley Jr. Warriors next weekend. They will take on the New Jersey Renegades Saturday November 6th (7 pm) and the New Jersey 87s Sunday (10 AM) at the Paul T. Gilmartin Memorial Arena.
